In 1897, Irish pioneers George Langrishe Peet and William "Barney" Toole established Toole Peet in Calgary to deal in coal sales, real estate transactions and insurance. At that time, Calgary was a frontier farming and ranching town. In the meantime, the company celebrates its first century of service as a nationally respected enterprise, integrating distinct insurance and real estate departments and opens for more business in the century at hand.

In 2004, Toole Peet Real Estate, which makes a substantial impact to Calgary’s growth and prosperity, joins The Prudential Real Estate Network, and changes its name to Prudential Toole Peet Real Estate.
